Christchurch based Moffat turned up the heat in its manufacturing plant with an order for over 1,200 locally manufactured Moffat commercial Convection Ovens for the well known Hampton Inn Hotel Chain.
The 1225 unit chain of Hotels, one of Hilton Corporations fastest growing brands, selected Moffat’s Convection Oven as part of a multi faceted upgrade to their properties which includes a new hot entrée breakfast.
This is a remarkable undertaking within the hospitality industry in changing 127 units at 1200 properties within 10 months - The Hampton Inn has been careful to select partners to work with who are able to not only provide well designed and reliable products - but also provide the project management and co-ordination of training and installation assistance on a property by property basis across a wide geography.
In choosing Moffat as their oven partner, they have found that not only do the products to live up to the promise, but that the people have also made the difference in ensuring ongoing success as we roll out this project.
Hampton Inn is the second largest chain in guest rooms in North America, and is well into the roll out of the new upgrade which has a total cost of more than 80 million USD.
"An order of this size is fantastic for the company" says Moffat’s Vice President Stuart Murray. "Not only for the economics of the transaction, but it also speaks to the credibility of the brand and our ability to compete in the toughest market in the world".
He credits the success of Moffat in securing the Hampton Inn business away from rivals in part to the tremendous commitment of the Moffat organization; from design innovation through to manufacturing production, shipping, distribution and after sales support; and in part to the “Make it Happen” culture the compay has.
